Data sources and freshness
Residue is rebuilt from a cached snapshot of public sources, so every number on the site can be traced and reproduced. Current snapshot: October 19, 2026 at 12:52 PM EDT.
Sources
- PubMed (NCBI E-utilities). Record counts, publication-type tallies, titles, authors and abstracts for key papers.
- ClinicalTrials.gov API v2. Registered studies: phase, status, sponsor, conditions, enrollment and arm descriptions.
- PubChem PUG-REST. CIDs, formulas, molecular weights, InChIKeys, UNIIs and sequences.
- openFDA. Drugs@FDA applications, and Indications and Usage text from current labels (linked to DailyMed). 7 labels are cached.
- FDA web pages. The bulk-substances compounding list (content current as of 04/22/2026) and FDA’s GLP-1 compounding statement (content current as of 04/01/2026).
Reproducibility
The snapshot is stored as JSON alongside the site’s source. Rebuilding from the same snapshot produces the same pages; refreshing it re-runs every query and re-checks every citation, and a citation that no longer resolves stops the build.
