Disclosures
Research use only
Residue summarizes published research, public trial registries and FDA records for research and educational purposes. Nothing here is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation to use, buy or administer any substance. Many compounds described here are not approved by FDA for any use in humans; where one is approved, the approval covers only the uses on its label. Decisions about treatment belong with a licensed clinician.
Advertising and affiliate relationships
Residue currently has no advertising, sponsorships or affiliate links, and receives no payment from manufacturers, pharmacies or vendors. If that ever changes, every affected link will carry a visible disclosure beside it and rel="sponsored", in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, and this page will list the relationships.
No ratings or rankings
We do not rate, score or rank products or vendors. Evidence grades describe published research about a molecule, not any product containing it.
Regulatory information
FDA status is taken from Drugs@FDA via openFDA, current prescribing information on DailyMed, and FDA's compounding pages, each cited with its retrieval date. Regulatory positions change; check the cited FDA source for the current position.
Images
The engraved-style plates on Residue are drawn by code from simple geometry; they illustrate ideas such as a folding chain and are not molecular models. The photographic still lifes of glassware and paper were generated with an AI image tool. None of them shows a real product, vial label or person.
Corrections
When we find an error we fix it, note the change in the corrections log on our editorial policy page, and update the page's reviewed date. Grade changes are logged the same way.
Data and privacy
Residue does not require accounts and does not collect form submissions. It runs no analytics or advertising scripts.
